The idea for Golden Age Trips is already one year old. On December 5th, 2016 we made our first post on Instagram (Click Here to Follow Us!), and on January 10, 2017, we published our first blog post. Then, we applied for a Travel Agency license with the state of Florida (USA), and have been helping people go where they have always dreamed of! Keep reading to see (or remember) where 2017 took us, and what are our plans for 2018.
Golden Age Trips 2017 Roundup
Pirate Special at Villa Cofresi
On February 2017, the blog took us to the Villa Cofresi Hotel in Rincon, Puerto Rico. Going back to my island as a tourist, felt different than any other time I had gone back to visit after I moved to the United States. Click here to read more about it. Sadly, as some of you might know, Puerto Rico has been going through some difficult times after Hurricane Maria struck the island on September. If everything goes well, we are certain we’ll be going back in December of next year, but the truth is you’ll never know if we go before.
Lucerne (or Luzern) in Switzerland
Then, in March, we visited Switzerland and Germany. As it happened with Iceland in March 2016, we fell in love with Germany too. We can’t wait to go back and explore the northern part of the country, where we didn’t have the time to visit.

Miami Beach
Summer came, and we ended up visiting Miami for the first time, after five years of living here in Florida. If you’re not a partier, we have a weekend guide for you. Check it out here!
Charleston Battery
To finish Summer with a Bang, we drove to Charleston, South Carolina where I have been dreaming of going for years. The good thing? It did not disappoint. Then, we visited Savannah, Georgia with friends and kept it local for the rest of the year.

As you can see, we kept moving this year, and we are hoping we can do the same in 2018 while helping you also do the same.

The following is obviously a non-comprehensive list of what we have planned for next year, but the calendar is starting to look like this.
January – New York Times Travel Show
February – Maybe a St. Valentine’s Weekend Getaway?
March – Ireland
April – Orlando (Star Wars Half Marathon – The Dark Side) – We’re only doing the 10K though.
December – Puerto Rico
We can’t wait to see new places and we hope we can help you do it too! Happy New Year!
